Seer’s management team represents broad and relevant expertise, spanning the fields of applied social research, multivariate analytics, systems development, product development and operations.

William Lazarus, president and ceo 

Bill is a quantitative social scientist with an interest in making the results of rigorous analytics accessible to a non-technical audience in order to help them to solve real world problems. Bill has held positions in the not-for-profit and corporate sectors including a 10-year career with the Dun and Bradstreet Corporation.   He is a nationally recognized expert and speaker on the development and implementation of analytics for decision making and has consulted in industries ranging from non-profit fundraising to insurance, financial services, public schools, retail, and healthcare.

Bill received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, his M.A. from the University of Toronto, and his S.M. and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Tom Voiland, coo/cfo

Tom oversees the day-day-operations of Seer as well as working with the leadership team to set the strategic goals and tactical plans of the company.  Tom is a CPA who began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co, subsequently acting in an executive capacity at Tampa-based Sports & Recreation, Outback Steakhouse, Tribridge, and DavisBaldwin Insurance. Tom is a former baseball professional and part of back-to-back National Championship baseball teams at Troy State University.

He received his B.S. at Troy State and his Masters of Accountancy at the University of Alabama.

Phil Balducci, sr vp

Phil leads the custom research and analytical consulting efforts of the company. Earlier in his career Phil provided research services for the US and international organizations including, among others, Carnival, Liberty Mutual, Dunkin’ Brands, Walt Disney, Mercedes Benz, Audi, The American Red Cross, Verizon Wireless, and the CIA. 

Before joining Seer in 2011, Phil was a colleague and collaborator working on a variety of Seer projects and engagements – for, among others, Great Western, The American Cancer Society, Metropolitan Ministries, and The YMCA – since 1993.

Phil received his BS from the University of Central Florida and his MSIM in research methodologies from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Laurie Ellis, vice president – ymca support & development

Laurie comes to Seer with a 22-year career with the YMCA acting as the Chief Operating Officer of a large regional Association.  Laurie has established herself as a national leader in the areas of membership, staff, board and fundraising development.
